KNITWEAR COLLECTION
INSPIRED BY GEORGIA O'KEEFFE
Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings of flowers are beautiful and sensual, full of curves, and feminine colors. Viewers often ascribe a sexual meaning to those paintings. O'Keeffe always denied this, however, saying that she just painted the flowers how she saw them.
In the same way, plus-size women are often misunderstood and are only viewed as sexual objects. Many plus-size women are misunderstood, objectified and fetishized and not seen for the beautiful women that they are. The fashion industry often depicts women of size as being lesser or are entirely overlooked.
This collection is an homage to plus-size women, and in the way that Georgia O'Keeffe painted the beautiful flowers the way that she saw them, without judgment or agenda, I have designed beautiful clothing for these plus-size women, and drawn their beautiful bodies in their full glory.
